The prevention paradox states that preventing incidents is not rewarded. The normal state of affairs: Something happens, measures are taken to prevent it from happening again. At some point, someone asks why the money is being spent on these measures, since nothing is happening. This also applies to digital accessibility: No one complains about it when it's there (except for people who love flashy lights).
